Welcome to Vom Hause Kildeer Rottweilers

Basset Hounds are known for their gentle and calm nature, making them excellent companions for families. They're particularly great with children due to their laid-back temperament. With their affectionate and loyal personalities, Basset Hounds will fit right into any home looking for a friendly, loving pet.

Basset Hounds have short, dense coats that are relatively low-maintenance. However, they do shed, so regular brushing is recommended to keep their coat clean and healthy. You'll also want to make sure their long ears are cleaned regularly to avoid infections. A little grooming goes a long way to keep your Basset looking great!

A: Basset Hounds are generally known for their friendly and easygoing temperament, which typically extends to other pets in the household. At Dog Breeder (Homey), we prioritize breeding Basset Hounds with stable and sociable dispositions. Basset Hounds are naturally pack animals, so they are often comfortable interacting with other dogs and can usually adapt well to living with cats. Their gentle nature and lack of aggression make them a good choice for homes with multiple pets. However, as with any breed, it’s essential to properly introduce and socialize your Basset Hound with existing pets to ensure harmonious relationships. Training and supervision during the initial meetings can help foster a positive environment.

A: At Dog Breeder (Homey), we understand that Basset Hounds are unique in their exercise needs. While they may not be as energetic as some other breeds, they still require regular physical activity to maintain their health. On average, a Basset Hound needs about 30 to 60 minutes of moderate exercise each day. This can be broken down into two short walks or some playtime in a secure yard. Additionally, mental stimulation is equally important for Basset Hounds to keep them happy and prevent boredom. Engaging them with puzzle toys or obedience training can be beneficial. Always monitor their activity levels and adjust based on their age, health, and energy levels. At Dog Breeder (Homey), we prioritize the well-being of our dogs, and we are always here to provide guidance tailored to your specific pet's needs.

Basset Hounds are intelligent but can be a bit stubborn at times. Training requires patience and consistency, but with positive reinforcement techniques, they can learn quickly. Start training early with basic commands and socialization to ensure your Basset grows into a well-behaved and obedient companion.
